The Work in Progress is a searching portrait of America at a moment of profound uncertainty, and a hopeful exploration of what we owe one another as our country faces unprecedented challenges.
Inspired by Robert Reich’s curiosity and humanity, it is a testament to the power of listening, civic engagement, and the belief that our shared future is still ours to shape. The film begins with Prof. Reich asking: "What do we owe each other?" What follows is a journey to find out.

Inspired by the tales of J.M. Barrie, Dmitry Krymov's "Peter Pan. Syndrome" is about art and the artist – the creator who, even when trapped in a dead end, when despair tightens around the throat and the urge to abandon everything feels unbearable, still returns to creation.
Overcoming pain, he, like Peter Pan, cannot grow up from his passion for art; he continues to make miracles because he knows no other way to live. You want to let him go, to say, "Rest!" – but he is so radiant, his miracles so beautiful, and his heart so full of love that the audience, weeping, cannot bring themselves to release him.

Sofia works as a location scout for a TV pilot filming in New York City. It’s her job to find the homes, businesses, and exteriors where the show will be filmed. Driving around the city's different neighborhoods, she enters the private spaces of strangers to photograph their cozy apartments and eclectic shops, stepping into the fabric of their lives while trying to satisfy the demands of her erratic employers. Over a day filled with these encounters, Sofia witnesses moments of curiosity, vulnerability, and quiet tension until her work takes a sudden, personal turn.
Drawing from her own experience as a location scout, writer-director Paula González-Nasser captures the poetry and costs of being a young creative. Her celebrated directorial debut The Scout crafts a contemplative exploration of urban disconnection, following one woman's journey through other people's worlds as she struggles to find her own.
