Plum productions is casting a series of web/ipad videos for Highlights magazine for kids. We're looking for a diverse group of talented, energetic children to appear in short video segments telling jokes, making crafts, and preparing fun recipes. This could be a great opportunity for kids who are looking to get more on-camera experience. Details are below.

Client: Highlights Magazine

Usage: web & iPad app

Shoot Dates: TBD, probably week of 7/16. We will be shooting roughly 6 scenes per day over 6 days. Each kid will probably be asked to shoot on more than one day.

Shoot Location: Plum Productions' studio

Union Status: This is a non-union job.

Content: This is a series of short segments of kids telling jokes, making crafts, and preparing recipes. Each segment features one leading and two supporting cast members. Some double-casting may occur.

Style: Genuine. The client would like to portray healthy, happy kids being themselves and having fun. They're not interested in promoting stereotypes or stock characters.

Roles:

Leading Cast - These kids would be on-camera narrators who direct us through the activities.

Supporting Cast - These kids would participate in the activities, but would be less likely to narrate.

Ages: 7-12

Race/Gender: This casting call is open to either gender and all races. We're hoping to cast a very diverse group of kids.

Personalities: This is the most important quality in casting. We're looking for unique, dynamic kids who want to be themselves rather than put on a character.

Rates:

$200/day (non-negotiable, includes full day session fee, 4 year usage, and agent fee)

Audition Times:

Wednesday 6/20 - 2PM until 7PM

Thursday, 6/21 - 2PM until 7PM

Since the auditions are so short, multiple actors could have the same appointment time.

The audition will have two stages: 1) Tell a joke and 2) Make ants-on-a-log. Details are attached.
