ATC is fwding on this audition notice for an 9-13 year old boy who can sing and act for CHIP in Beauty and the Beast at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. We have no more info about this audition. Read below for how to submit!
I’d love some recommendations of young boys who might be interested in understudying the role of CHIP in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST which is being directed on our main stage this summer by Rachel Rockwell with musical direction by Doug Peck. We are looking to split the understudy job up amongst two boys. The boy we are still looking for would actively understudy the role from July 30 through the end of the run (August 28 or September 2.)
I know you have tons of talented young boys (and girls, but we’re only looking for boys right now) at ATC and I’d love any suggestions you might have. We are holding auditions on Wednesday afternoon June 6 and would love to meet any ideas you might have at that time. Below are production details as well as breakdown on the role:
CHIP – Seeking a boy ages 9 – 13 who can sing who is an expressive actor. Boys should be no taller than 4’10 and on the slim side.
