Passing on this casting notice for a 6-12 year old girl for midwest premiere of WRONG MOUNTAIN play! ATC has more info on this audition. Please read below for how to submit yourself for the role of Cheyenne:

CASTING NOTICE

CHEYENNE - female, 6 -12 years old.

Rare Terra Theatre is casting for the role of CHEYENNE in the Midwest premiere of David Hirson's WRONG MOUNTAIN.

Cheyenne appears in four to six scenes in this 25 scene play. There is significant stage time, without much dialogue to learn.

WRONG MOUNTAIN is a hilarious literate play focusing on identity, aesthetics and the American definition of success. WRONG MOUNTAIN is a story of human folly and self delusion. The playwright is the author of La Bete, which won the Laurence Olivier award for best comedy in 1991. WRONG MOUNTAIN has only been produced once, in 2000 on Broadway.

WRONG MOUNTAIN begins preview performances on September 7, opens September 13 and closes October 7. There are a total of 16 regular performances and three previews. (Thu, Fri, Sat at 8PM, Sun at 7PM.) The rehearsal schedule for the young actress playing CHEYENNE would be light. We anticipate double casting the role so that the performance load would be split.

The cast includes a number of adults who are parents; Rare Terra would also provide a staff member, with significant childcare experience, backstage to monitor the young actor. Members of the cast have appeared at Steppenwolf Theatre, The Goodman Theatre, Chicago Shakepeare Theatre, among many others. The director is extremely experiences, including a play currently running Off Broadway.
