DIARY OF A SKOKIE GIRL
Starring Caryn Bark
This one-woman show, performed by veteran comic Caryn Bark, is a poignant yet hysterically funny examination of growing up Jewish in
the 1960's. The Reader called it "irreverent, hilarious and deeply moving." The Tribune said, "impeccable show." The Daily Herald
proclaimed, "charm and quips aplenty!" And Rick Kogan of the Chicago
Tribune called Caryn, "one of the wittiest female comics I've ever
seen.

SILENT FILM NIGHT
TRAMP, TRAMP, TRAMP (1924)
With Live Piano Accompaniment by David Drazin
Silent Film Night is back at the Wilmette with the 1924 silent comedy
classic TRAMP TRAMP TRAMP with Harry Langdon. As with our previous
Silent Film Nights, the film will be accompanied on piano by David
Drazin.
Harry Langdon's second feature film about a man who enters a
cross-country walking contest to impress his girl, showcases some of
his best routines: throwing small stones at a tornado to scare it
away, he spits at it in victory--only to look down and have to wipe
the spit off his lapel; or the one in which he gets hung up on a
fence nail, unaware that it is all that keeps him from dropping
several hundred feet to the highway below! Joan Crawford, working
with him for the first time, laughed so hysterically that they had to
re-shoot her close-ups after Langdon left the set!
"This picture takes Harry Langdon's doleful face and pathetic figure
out of the two-reel class and into the Chaplin and Lloyd screen
dimensions ... The boy's good!" -Photoplay.
Hot off the college circuit, come witness the brilliant antics of these USC
alums as they perform original sketches filled with pop culture and
day-to-day references. After their cross-country tour, they have been on
CNN, USA Today, Esquire, College Humor, and FunnyOrDie.com, and more. ALL

SILENT FILM NIGHT
With Special Family Matinee
PETER PAN (1924)
With Live Piano Accompaniment by David Drazin
Summer brings a special Family Silent Film Night with a Matinee
Screening as well. Come watch the very first adaption of the
children's classic PETER PAN, as we screen the 1924 classic film,
PETER PAN, with live piano accompaniment by David Drazin.
Ingeniously capturing the mysteries and adventures of childhood,
James M. Barrie's timeless play became one of the most popular films
of the twenties. Virtually unseen for decades, Paramount Studios'
1924 production of Peter Pan has been fully restored from original
nitrate materials, with authentic color tints. Betty Bronson stars
as Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, who charms Wendy and her
brothers to fly with him to Never Never Land. On this distant island
of dreams and magic, they struggle to rescue the Lost Boys from
Captian Hook (Ernest Torrence) and his band of pirates, encountering
along the way the delightful fairy Tinkerbell (Virginia Browne
Faire), a man-eating crocodile, and a band of valiant Indians (led by Anna May Wong).
This memorable adaptation -- which in turn inspired later film
versions of the story -- features a delightful cast, remarkable
special effects by Roy Pomeroy, and fine photography by James Wong Howe (The Thin Man).
