This summer, ATC will be producing a short independant comedy film written and directed by David Singer. A Knock At The Door is the story of a local woman gathering signatures for a referendum who gets a glimpse of the bizarre, twitchy underbelly of her placid suburban community. Production will take place over four nights, with students committing to one read-thru/rehearsal in early August and the film premiere in early September. The film will shoot in the homes of some of the participants - and will likely seem as much like a rotating party as an artistic endeavor. This guarantees to be valuable experience making a real film AND a terrific time.

"Thank you for everything that you did in class. I learned more then I have ever learned in a class. You taught us a lot. You made everything clear, you told us to listen. I didn't know in acting that you need to listen. It never occurred to me that you have to listen to the other actor, and take in what they are saying."
You also helped me with my confidence. I am not very confident person, as you know, and in school you helped me learn to talk more then I did before, and to know who I am.
Thank you. You are the best teacher. You are different and an interesting teacher that I have had before. Not many teachers care about their students they way you do. You support everyone, and push everyone to make them do better. I really like that. You stand out to me. You do a lot. Thank you for this past six weeks. This is best class I have taken!
"I'm loving adult on-camera! had a photo session yesterday and have learned so much in just my first two classes that I really rocked the shoot and have benefited so much already by the skills and direction I've received working with Doug.Thank you so much for the privilege of joining the class."
"Today I found out that I booked my first SAG commercial for BMO Harris bank! I''m so excited!! I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help with improv, I wouldn't have gotten cast without it. Both the audition and callback were total improv, with no rehearsal time. Taking classes with you allowed me to feel comfortable and confident while in there! Just wanted to let you know, thanks  and see you soon :)"
"Well my "child" thanks you!  Carole, thanks for building the school and for providing a great environment for learning, practicing and improving our respective crafts. MAZELTOV!!!"
"I really had no idea what to expect when I walked in, but the combination of the teachers and material covered blew me away. This class provided me with so much information and guidance with respect to the business, film, and acting. I'm incredibly grateful that I was one of the lucky few to experience this wealth of knowledge, which wouldn't have been possible without you!"

"I don't think I've ever had so much information given to me about the business, and because of it, I walked out of there with a solid plan for my upcoming year in New York. I can't tell you how different I feel about my year now. Where I used to feel scared and overwhelmed, I feel considerably more confident and in control. The time I spent with you really proved to me that it's possible, provided you work, and work hard. I now have an even stronger desire to navigate the system, all thanks to you!"

"I have always wanted to try acting and this experience was incredible. I'm hooked and I am hoping there will be a next class for us to take. Thanks so much for all your work and effort and for believing in us and supporting us."
"Not only have I thoroughly enjoyed myself while attending classes, on-screen and on-stage, but I've learned some things about myself in the process." -- David Zeir, ATC Student

"If one really has a life's goal to become an actor, ATC is THE place to train."
"Do yourself a a favor and take a class at ATC. You will approach auditions and your work with all new resources within you to pull from."
"I feel more in my body and in my true self than ever before. The stilness Doug teaches has helped me as an actor so much."
"I had to stretch a lot and came out of the class with more confidence in myself."
"I just want you to know how much I enjoyed the class(es) - and meeting you! I really picked up so many useful 'tools' and it also got me excited and energized to continue in my career."
"Thank you so much for the wonderful class! It was very informational and fun at the same time. Your enthusiasm is contagious and I will pass along info on your classes to everybody I can. I look forward to hearing about future classes."
