Description:
ATC is proud to announce for our adult actors our first Conservatory program: The Life of The Actor.
This program, designed by senior teacher Doug McDade, provides our adult actors with an in-depth training
program, spanning three levels over nine months, rooted in Shakespearean technique. Applicable to both on-stage
and on-camera acting, this program provides the adult actor with the tools needed to go deeper - stop acting,
and just be.
(Offered Fall) SESSION ONE: Theatrical Stillness, incorporating the Laban, and Feldenkrais Methods to center yourself as an actor.
(Offered Winter) SESSION TWO: Breathing Before You Act and Going Beyond the Written Word with Shakespeare's Sonnets and Monologues.
(Offered Spring) SESSION THREE: The Three Centers of the Body, Honoring the Mind, The Heart and Center, and The Sexuality of performance.
