Description:
The only professional on-camera class for adults on the North Shore. This class provides a comprehensive overview of on-camera technique, as well as what to consider when beginning a career in the on-camera industry. Students will shoot in our professional studio, work from actual industry copy and analyze their work as its played back each week. This class is perfect for students who want to learn how to be themselves in front of a camera, while still giving the casting director exactly what they’re looking for in an audition.

On-Camera Technique

Description:
Advanced students will continue their film and TV training by working two film scenes, pulled from scripts of top 2009 - 2010 films.The challenge will be to not imitate the actor who performed the role but bring your own truth to the scene, as if you created the role. Students will learn to be simple and honest by finding specificity in character and scene. Out of class work expected.Prerequisite: Previous On-Camera experience.

Description:
Learn to act beyond the written word by exploring and applying various acting methods formulated by Stanislavski, Meisner, Shurtleff and others. Students will break down a scene with pursuit of objectives, character development, and building relationships by asking who, what, when, where, and why? In a safe and playful environment, students will work on specific scenes tailored to them, and discover their strengths and weaknesses with the help of a trained teacher's eye. Out of class work expected.
